Yellowstone

Yellowstone refers primarily to Yellowstone National Park, which is located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Established in 1872, it was the first national park in the United States and is often considered the first national park in the world. The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, geothermal features, and stunning landscapes, including geysers such as Old Faithful, hot springs, waterfalls, and the Yellowstone Caldera, which is one of the largest active volcanic systems in the world. Yellowstone is also significant for its efforts in conservation and natural resource management, making it a vital area for ecological research and public enjoyment. The park covers more than 3,400 square miles and attracts millions of visitors each year.
