European Championship

The European Championship, often referred to as the UEFA European Championship or simply the Euros, is a quadrennial football (soccer) competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) contested by the senior men’s national teams of its member associations. The tournament was first held in 1960 and has grown in prominence and scale, featuring qualification rounds leading up to a final tournament that typically takes place in the summer. The event showcases some of the best national teams in Europe and culminates in a final match to determine the champion. The European Championship is regarded as one of the most prestigious tournaments in international football, alongside the FIFA World Cup.
